Halloween Week

During most of last week of the 28th to the 31st of October, us as seniors, were extremely busy as we were planning our halloween event. We worked hard on making everything perfect and safe for the kids to have as much fun as possible. We met up at least twice at the library to cut out decorations, and talk about the stands we were gonna host on Halloween night. We also had to make food for the kids, and this is where it got fun.

Fatima Zahra and I made cupcakes and other snacks at her house, all the while laughing...nonstop. As the cupcakes were different flavors (Strawberry, vanilla and caramel) and colors (purple, orange, red), we needed to find the suitable decoration method for each batch of cupcakes. Keep in mind, we took into consideration all the kids and their tastes. We didn’t have all the necessary resources in order for us to make it perfect but we dealt with what we have and i have to say… we made really good cupcakes.

At the end, the Halloween event didn’t got as planned but it was fine as it was still organized, and the kids were satisfied as they liked the food and enjoyed the different games we set up for them. We were all in our costumes, Fatima Zahra a rich woman, Zainab a biker that had an accident, Salma a dead highschool student, Oumnia a witch, Marouane and Mouataz as themselves, and I as Mazikeen from Lucifer. We later on cleaned up, creating the best memories (Mouataz showing off his guns by picking up the tables and putting them back in the classrooms, and Marouane well...being Marouane). Some of us went trick or treating illegally as high schoolers weren't allowed to, but Oumnia and i didn't care because we got free candy. We almost got caught but us being us..we managed. The end of that night will be a memory that will stick with all of us for a long while, hopefully.
