We need your donations for Tarmilat!

In senior project this year, we planned to help the Tarmilat school which 15 minutes away from ifrane. We would like to build a toilet, new windows and other necessities asked by the teacher of the school. Even though we are a little behind from our goal since we had some difficulties between the group and we slacked off during the winter break. We visited the school 2 or 3 times so far and we saw what should be changed inside the classroom and what should be added to create a good environment for the kids. We are still waiting for the paper to start the constructions in the school, but meanwhile we are planning to visit the Tarmilat school every Saturday to spend more time with the kids and try to teach them new things hopefully. We planned several fundraising events in September which were successfully organized and we got a lot of support from the ASI community in different events such as: the Marathon, Halloween Night, and the night when Fasiki played the 3oud in ASI.

The parents are always supportive in every event which really helps for our project and by the way, if you have any clothes or old things that you don’t use: please send them to the Akhawayn High School department or contact us in facebook at ASI senior class.

During every event, everybody does his job and creates a good vibe so that everyone enjoys the event. I know that we are a small group of students that want to reach a goal that is a little bit difficult, but we are doing our best to accomplish it and any help from you guys can be really helpful to make the Tarmilat kids happier. I would say that we reached the middle of our project at this point with the help of Mrs Eddouks of course, because she arranges everything with the administration and makes things more easier for us to accomplish our goal. As i said before, we are waiting for the paper to start the constructions and other students are also in charge of other facilities inside the classroom such as a small library for the students, and other academic equipments. The project is more reachable for us now since everyone has a specific and final task to do to accomplish our goal in addition to the rest of the fundraising events coming this month. We are also planning to discuss everyone’s future contributions and plans in the Senior meetings starting next week Wednesday. I’ve discussed this project with my dad and he is happy that we are doing this kind of things therefore he is willing to build the toilet for the Tarmilat School as a donation as soon as we get the paper for confirmation.

The senior project can be time consuming and tiring sometimes, but when i think about all the good things we are doing for those kids; i think it is worth it because these kids couldn’t get a good education like you or good living conditions like or even a safe environment to live in . I am very happy to help these kids especially when i see that the Tarmilat group is fully committed and tries their best to succeed and get things ready every time. We really appreciate any support from you to help these kids to get a better and happier life perhaps. I want to also encourage people to help this communities with least things possible because they really need it and for the next Senior Class; i encourage you to do a charitable gesture because it will not only help the targeted community, but also yourself because it will make you a good person and it will make you think and observe the real life of these people because you will be spending time with them.

We are also inviting ASI high school students to visit the Tarmilat community during our visits in Saturday to spend some time with kids and observe where these kids study and live. We also want you to have an idea about the life of the kids and the distance most of the students do everyday to attend school. I hope that our project inspires you and made you think about several things, but if not we are inviting you to see the Tarmilat school.
