In my Senior Project I would like to build a website to show the region of Zaouia and to promote it on the internet because it has some very beautiful places which go often unexplored, and building this website will also greatly impact the community. An increase of tourism and traffic to the region of Zaouia will make a great difference, and give a push to a rather economically stagnant village with rampant unemployment. There are caves and hostels in Zaouia for instance, and some very beautiful natural scenes that mostly only locals know, and if these places are given more publicity, it will be a great stimulant. The village is also the place where AUI's Green Village project is located, which involves making homes in the village more environmentally sustainable and improves the living standard. Further, I will also collaborate with an AUI project that seeks to make Zaouia into a green village, the project is funded by the local government.
